Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunday
January 16, 2011 - 10:00 am
Come and celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the day before our national holiday honoring this great American.
"Celebrating the Gifts of Women" Sunday
Sunday, February 27th, 2011 at 10:00 am
One Sunday each spring we honor the many gifts that women have given to the church. It is a special service honoring and involving women of all ages. Everyone is invited to join us in this time of reminding ourselves how much women have meantin the growth and development of the church and our faith.
Ash Wednesday Service
Wednesday, March 9th, at 7 pm.
Please join us for the beginning of the Lenten season with a quiet service of scripture, prayers and the imposition of Lenten ashes on our foreheads to mark the season of penitence.
Lenten Study
Wednesdays at 7 pm. beginning March 16th and running consecutive Wednesdays through April 13th. We will meet in the Upper Room over the church Parish Hall.
During the 6 weeks of Lent we will be studying the "I AM" statements found in the Gospel of John. Everyone is invited to join us. No previous Biblical knowledge is needed. We will meet for an hour and conclude with a time of prayer each evening we meet.
Easter Dawn Service Sunday, April 24, 2011, at 7 am in Morgan Park
Our annual community Easter Dawn service will be held in Morgan Park. It is a wonderful way to begin the day and celebrate our Lord’s Resurrection. This brief ecumenical service often involves clergy of various faiths and is held outside so everyone comes dressed for the typically cold weather. Young and not-so-young find this community event ‘user friendly’.
Easter Service at the Church
Sunday, April 24, 10 am, in the sanctuary.
Everyone is invited to join us for this most joyful worship service. It is family oriented and full of uplifting music. Afterward there is a special Fellowship Hour allowing newcomers, visitors and members to share in conversation and refreshment.
Memorial Day Sunday

Join us as we take time to recognize the sacrifices of those men and women who have served in uniform.
Annual Pride Service

A service to celebrate and affirm the dignity and spirituality of GLBT persons, their families and friends. All are invited to participate.

World Communion Sunday

Held annually on the first Sunday of October, World Communion Sunday is a celebration of the unity of the worldwide church. Christians in congregations around the world participate in this celebration.
